When i read this Amy Tan Paragraph i felt that she was trying yo describe a room and all the details that she could apreciate at that moment of writing, or may be all the things that she wanted to show us. This stimulates in me a feeling of peace is a quiet, confort and wealth place. May be it was the daughter of somebody with a good economis situation, in a past time.
